WELCOME to GMS Health!
Health Education is a requirement for all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students.
Each year students will complete a 9-week course.
Our curriculum is progressive through the grade levels and designed to give our students the knowledge they need to make choices that promote superior health. All levels of the 9-week course align with state and national standards for Health Education. We know that individuals, who are healthy, are individuals that are successful. It is our hope that the students will take the knowledge from our class, and use it as a tool to guide them toward complete wellness.
Our motto is "The 'REAL TEST' is when you walk out the door." Students are encouraged to apply what they learn in their lives in order to achieve the best from within and attain the most out of life.

Health Theme this year..."Feed the Positive Dog"
A man travels to a village to speak to the wise man. He says to the wise man, "I feel like there are two dogs inside me. One dog is positive, loving, kind and optimistic and then I have this fearful, pessimistic, angry and negative dog. They fight all the time. I don't know who is going to win." The wise man thinks for a moment and responds, "I know who is going to win. The one you feed the most. So feed the positive dog."
